Call for Applications: Nonviolence Training for Young Professionals


Peacepace Initiative is pleased to announce the opening of applications for our upcoming Nonviolence Training for Young Professionals, organised in collaboration with The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, USA.

 

This specialised foundational programme is designed to equip young Nigerians and early- and mid-career professionals across the peacebuilding and development sectors with practical skills, frameworks, and tools rooted in Kingian Nonviolence. Among other things, participants will explore nonviolent principles as a strategic approach to conflict transformation, community engagement, leadership, and social impact.

 

Training will be facilitated by certified trainers from The King Center and hosted by Peacepace Initiative faculty.

 

Who Should Apply

We invite applications from:

  • Young Nigerians and professionals aged 18–40
  • Practitioners in peacebuilding, development, governance, human rights, education, or related fields.
  • Individuals with a demonstrated interest in community impact, social justice, or conflict transformation.
  • Emerging leaders committed to fostering nonviolent approaches in their work and communities

  • Virtual Session – Zoom
  • Certificate of completion
