Peace Culture Campaign

We are delighted to share photos and videos from our recent Intergenerational Community-based Dialogue in Billachi, Demsa Local Government area of Adamawa State, Northeastern Nigeria, beginning with images from Day 1 today.

By doing so, we commemorate, in advance, Conflict Resolution Day, scheduled for later this month.
This recently concluded intergenerational community-based dialogue in Billachi, which involved youth, traditional leaders, and women across the district, is a sequel to our earlier project in the community, initiated in 2024.

We have been working with the community since it became a district over a year ago to promote peace and strengthen interpersonal relationships among the six villages that make up the district.

We are grateful to the Billachi traditional leaders for their warm welcome and for giving us the opportunity to work with them and contribute to a more peaceful and prosperous Billachi. Likewise, we deeply appreciate our partnership with Peace Direct (Peace Starts Here), which made this project a reality.

We have no doubt that the seed of peace and dialogue planted in Billachi will germinate and will continue to yield fruits such as shared understanding, empathy, forgiveness, inclusion and collaboration among the villagers.
